Initially it was announced that Chiyaan Vikram's Son Dhruv to be launched under the direction of Bala film titled Varmaa. This movie is the official remake of Tollywood's blockbuster Arjun Reddy. But this project took a murkier turn with the most unexpected call from the producers. Varma movie trailer was released and almost completes its shooting directed by Bala. But producers wanted to shelve this product and wanted reshoot the entire product. Retaining hero Dhruv every other cast and crew to be replaced.
E4 Entertainment now came up with new cast crew. They have renamed the product as Aditya Varma. This product will now be directed by Girisayya and associate director of Sandeep Reddy Vanga who directed the original version in Telugu. Sandeep Vanga now busy directing the Hindi Version titled Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. October movie fame Banita Sandhu and Priya Anand bought on board to feature in the Tamil version of Arjun Reddy.
As per the latest buzz it is reported that Gautham Vasudev Menon to associated with Dhruv's debut film Aditya Varma. As per the sources, it is said that GVM was approached to play Dhruv's father role in this movie. However, we still await the official statement from the makers. GVM currently directing Dhruv's father Chiyaan Vikram for the movie Dhruva Natchathiram. GVM yet to complete the last schedule pertaining to Dhruva Natchathiram. His another directorial Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta is in post-production stage.
