One of the iconic and gifted actors of Indian cinema is Irrfan Khan. This versatile actor can literally do any role and that prowess has made him not only popular in India, but also across the world. The actor celebrates his 54th birthday today and let's have a look at his career.
Irrfan was born on 7th January 1966 in a Muslim family in Jaipur. When he was doing his masters, Irrfan earned a scholarship in the National School of Drama (NSD), which turned his life forever.
Irrfan made his debut through serials and acted in various TV soaps in the beginning stages of his career. Later, he entered into films but only got small roles and not worthy ones. But the early 2000s have really changed the actor's career. Films like Maqbool, Haasil, Life In a Metro, Paan Singh Tomar, Piku and Talvar proved Irrfan as one of the best actors we have in our country. Irrfan also acted in international films like The Namesake, Darjeeling Limited, Slumdog Millionaire, Amazing Spider-Man, Inferno and the Jurassic World.
In 2018, Irrfan got diagnosed with cancer which made him take a break from films. He is fully treated now and is currently filming for his next movie, Angrezi Medium. We wish him a happy birthday and hope he continues to enthrall us with his performances.
