Harish Shankar and Anil Ravipudi expose producers in D Day skit
On the eve of late director Dasari Narayana Rao’s birthday, the Telugu Director’s guild organised a function which was attended by Megastar Chiranjeevi. Directors Anil Ravipudi and Harish Shankar stage a skit.
The skit was criticised by a website and Harish Shankar lashed out at them. On the hindsight, the skit is actually funny and it seems to have exposed the sad state of affairs in the industry.
The skit was about how producers and directors mount a project and their false promises. It’s about how they’re coming up with a script for Chiranjeevi. Harish Shankar essays the role of a crooked producer who never pays the advance amount.
Anil essayed the role of a director who explains and exaggerates everything expect the story. Chiranjeevi enjoyed the script so much and was left in splits.
