Here are some unknown stories behind the song compositions of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari

Tomorrow, Telugu cinema's timeless classic Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari will celebrate the 30 years of its release. Telugu audiences don't need any introduction to this film. Right from the first generation of viewers to the current Millenials, everyone loves this Chiranjeevi starrer film. Directed by K. Raghavendra Rao, this film featured Sridevi as the female lead. It got produced by Ashwini Dutt under the banner Vyjayanthi Movies. On the occasion of 30 years release anniversary of this film, Vyjayanthi Movies is conducting a video series on the movie. Earlier today, they shared a video explaining the untold stories of music and song compositions of this film.

The music of Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari got composed by Maestro Ilaiyaraja. Apparently, when Ilaiyaraja composed all the songs, the makers felt that the album is missing a mass number. They thought the people expect at least one mass track in Chiru's film. Then came lyricist Veturi who told the team that there is no need of changing the music and assured that he will give a mass number to one of the existing tracks. Then came the iconic song, 'Abbani Teeyani Debba'. Apparently, this song got shot in just two-three days in Bengaluru.

Another super hit song of the film is Andalalo. This is the introduction song of Sridevi. Apparently, the makers took 14 days to film this song. There is a story behind another song Dinakku as well. It seems that Chiranjeevi was suffering from a high fever when this song got filmed. The makers had no choice of postponing it because Sridevi had to complete the song and fly abroad to shoot a Hindi film. Thus, the team had filmed the track on that day itself. Ashwini Dutt often regards Chiru's dedication by giving this example.

More insights into the film will get released tomorrow, on the occasion of its release anniversary.
