Having impressed with the work that Lokesh Kanagaraj did in Karthi's Khaidi, hero Vijay decided to let the director make his next movie with his own vision.
Kollywood star Vijay is all set to come up with an action thriller under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj, who recently scored a superhit with Karthi starrer 'Kaithi'. The director is very thrilled and happy that Khaidi is receiving a phenomenal response from the audiences in both the Telugu states. He is making the movie with Vijay with double enthusiasm.
This yet-to-be-titled movie is now tentatively called #Thalapathy64. Vijay Sethupathi, Antony Varghese, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, and Malavika Mohanan are playing crucial roles in this movie. The movie unit has recently wrapped up the first schedule of the film. Sources say that the film is Lokesh Kanagaraj's vision. According to the reports, there will be no commercial compromises in the movie. Vijay has given full freedom to Lokesh after witnessing his work in Khaidi.
So, we can expect a movie without unnecessary comedy scenes, action scenes, romantic tracks, songs, etc. This is going to be a strict film with Lokesh Kanagaraj's mark. However, sources added that there will be scenes that will excite Thalapathy fans and they don't need to worry about it.
Xavier Britto, under XB Film Creators banner, is funding this project, which is Anirudh Ravichander's musical. The movie is hitting the theatres in April 2020.
