Hindi Jersey gets sold for a bomb

Despite being one of the most followed actors, Shahid Kapoor never got the big success he deserved until last year's release Kabir Singh. This remake of Arjun Reddy has collected more than Rs. 275 crores at the box office and remained as one of the biggest hits in Bollywood. It also brought back Shahid in the number game and made him a hotshot hero.

Shahid is currently shooting for his next film Jersey, which is an official remake of Telugu film of the same name. Gautham Tinnanuri, who directed the original, is also helming this movie. Super 30 and Love Sonia fame Mrunal Thakur is playing the female lead in it. The shoot is currently underway.

Meanwhile, this film has become a hot-cake in B-Town's trade market. Due to Kabir Singh's success, Rakesh Sippy has acquired the theatrical rights of Jersey for a whopping price, said the sources. Thus, high stakes are being put on this film now. Jersey is being produced jointly by Dil Raju, Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, and Aman Gill. Allu Arjun is presenting the film under Geetha Arts. Jersey is all set to hit the screens on 28th August. Watch this space for more updates on this film.
