I consider myself as an actor, would rather not get into Hero-Villain segment - Dhananjaya

Dhananjaya who pulled off Daali character in Tagaru with much versatility and shot to immense fame with his first film. The role was a baddie in that film which showcased the tenacity of Dhananjaya to Kannada audience and even Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma who was awestruck came down to Sandalwood to feature him in a film. Dhananjaya who is popular with his screen name Daali, as per the sources he will become famous as Mithai Suri with the film Yajamana starring Darshan.

Dhananjaya also is playing a pivotal role in Pogaru starring Dhruva Sarja and Puneeth's Yuvaratna. Reports say that Dhananjaya to play negative shade characters in these films. Apart from this, he is also playing main leads in the projects Daali, Suri Popcorn Monkey Director and an important cameo in Totapuri helmed by Vijayaprasad.

Dhananjaya opens up I consider myself as an actor, would rather not get into Hero-Villain segment. Even though I appear in negative shade characters, I am still happy as those roles still drawing attention. He also mentions I am a hero or villain people are showering love on me through claps whistles, that is paramount for me. I want the public to connect with roles, I look into those aspects while I am listening to the scripts. While watching on-screen if public bonds with my role that is enough for me. I really don't have such conventional mindset of we should only particular roles such sort. I am blessed to get such roles, all thanks to my directors. In a way, I am able to gauge my strengths and weaknesses which in turns helps me in growing as an actor.

I was also blessed to play negative shade roles in a way because it taught me a new lesson. The duration or kind of roles doesn't matter, the impact of the role only matters. Even in negative roles, there are some roles who always beaten up, I would avoid such typecast roles. Even though he is baddie there should be some importance and scope to him. I will prefer playing such roles. Because of the negative roles I played I had become more human now and have clarity in every aspect.
