I don’t support kissing and nudity in my films: Ajay Devgan
Ajay Devgan said that he doesn't support kissing and nudity in films as it doesn't cater to a family audience.
The actor, who made his debut with Phool Aur Kaante (1991), has been a successful actor, both critically and at the box-office for more than 25 years. Yet, there will be only a handful of movies in which we saw the 50-year-old lock lips with his on-screen leading lady.
"I like watching films with my family. I'm sure others too enjoy watching movies with their entire family. On-screen intimacy can, therefore, be uncomfortable," he said. Ajay further added that as far as possible he avoids kissing in his films. Now, Ajay Devgn is busy with the release of his upcoming film, De De Pyaar De with Rakul Preet Singh and Tabu, among others.
Ajay Devgan is not the only actor to come up with this kind of statements. his friend and Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has time and again, reiterated the fact that he specifically avoids portraying physical intimacy in his movies, let alone locking lips.
Even Shahrukh Khan is another example of this concept. Of course, to this day Shahrukh is considered arguably the greatest on-screen lover of all-time in Bollywood, yet, he had never locked lips with his female co-star ever until Jab Talk hai Jaan. What made Shah Rukh Khan finally break his one rule and kiss Katrina Kaif in JTHJ, we are yet to know.
