Director Maruthi was set back with the failure of Sailaja Reddy Alludu last year. But, he came back with a bang with his new release Prati Roju Pandaage, which is having a dream run at the box office. Prati Roju Pandaage released a couple of days back and is getting a good response at the box office. The family audience is getting connected to the fun and emotional quotient of the film.

Meanwhile, Maruthi has expressed his interest in venturing into the digital space. These days, OTT platforms have become a big trend in the film industry and many star directors are actors are making web series to show the content that they can't in the traditional film format. Even Maruthi wants to tell his stories on digital platforms and is planning to venture into that arena soon. Speaking at a recent interview, Maruthi said that the taste of the audience is changing every day and they have to make films according to them. He also added that he will make a web series soon. Maruthi also revealed that Netflix offered him to direct one of the segments of Telugu Lust Stories but he couldn't accept it due to his work. Currently, the Telugu Lust Stories is being directed by Sankalp Reddy, Nandini Reddy, Tharun Bhascker and Nag Ashwin.
