India's prestigious film festival, International National Film Festival of India (IFFI) is going to kickstart on the 20th of this November and concludes on the 28th, in Goa. The celebrations are being planned on a grand scale as this year marks the 50 years of the festival's inception.
On this silver jubilee occasion, the Government of India has decided to pay an ode to legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan
, at the festival.
IFFI is paying the tribute to Bachchan as the actor got conferred with Dada Saheb Phalke Award recently. He is also the 50th recipient of this award. His national award-winning film Paa will be the opening film of the festival.
While Amitabh's other classics like Sholay, Deewar, Black, Pink, and Badla will also get screened over the nine days course of the festival. Meanwhile, IFFI organizers are also going to honour Superstar Rajinikanth with the Special Icon of Golden Jubilee Award.
On the other hand, the government of India also announced the Icon of Golden Jubilee award to Superstar Rajinikanth and the announcement came yesterday.
