IFFI to screen some of the best films of Oscars

As we are already aware, this year marks the 50th edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI). On the occasion of its golden jubilee anniversary, the organizers of the festival have added a few new categories in the festival, to celebrate the films made over the years. One of those categories is Oscar Retrospective, which celebrates a few Hollywood classics which won the Best Film Award.

A total of 10 films are gearing up for the screenings under this category. They are, All About Eve, Ben-Hur, Casablanca, Forrest Gump, Gone With The Wind, Lawrence of Arabia, The Best Years of Our Lives, The Godfather, The Silence of the Lambs and The Sound of Music.
Films belonging to various genres like drama, comedy, romance, thriller, tragedy and war epic have got selected under this category to give the audience a varied experience. Even the delegates are quite pumped up to watch these Hollywood classics on the big screen. IFFI starts on the 20th of this month in Panjim, Goa. It is a nine-day festival which ends on the 28th of November. Over 200 films from 76 countries will get showcased in the festival and thousands of delegates will attend this festival.
