Kangana Ranaut is the one-star heroine in the Hindi film industry who attained stardom without any support or backing. None of her family members is from the film industry and she has run away from home at the age of 15 to pursue her career in acting. Kangana is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Panga.
Panga is the story of a middle-class mother who pursues her dream of becoming a kabaddi player in her mid-30s. Comparing her role in that film to her real life, Kangana said that as she left home at the age of 15, she was free-spirited with no responsibilities as such. But in the film, her role is of a mother who wants to pursue her dream after having a kid. Thus, it is very contrasting to her real-life struggles.
Kangana also stated that she was very keen on getting married when was in the 20s. But, she is not in a compulsion to be a wife or mother right now. She added that she has no time for any person who comes with any kind of baggage.
Kangana scored a hit last year with Manikarnika, which released during the Republic Day weekend. Now, Panga is also releasing during the Republic Day weekend. She is hoping to repeat the same success with this movie as well.
