Archana Atul Phadke's About Love is easily one of the best Indian films screened in this year's MAMI International Film Festival. This is a documentary on Archana's own family and their household life. Based in the heart of South Bombay, the Phadke family is residing in their ancestral house since 1900.
The film showcases the mentalities of three different generations and it is a treat to watch Archana's grandparents and their relationship. It is a story of every family in our country. There are family fights, fun, affection between siblings, marriage, and even death. Everyone can relate the film to themselves and that is what makes it universal.
About Love, directed by Archana Atul Phadke deserves all the appreciation for the work she came up with at the film festival. She has played with the emotions well. All her family members have portrayed natural performances.
The film might not get a theatrical release but when it releases on digital space, do watch it.
