In less than a year, Superstar Rajinikanth had released three films namely Kaala, 2.0 and Petta. Director Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta is successfully running in the theatres and has grossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office.
Rajinikanth has joined hands with director AR Murugadoss for his next film, which is expected to go on floors sometime in March. It was also rumoured that the film has been titled Naarkaali.
Rumours are rife that this film will be a political venture and Rajinikanth might play the role of a chief minister in the movie. But, Murugadoss took to Twitter to put an end to all the rumours. He said, “Naarkaali is not the title of my next project, please stop spreading rumours. (sic)”
Murugadoss, during an award function in Chennai, confirmed that his film with Rajinikanth will not be a political entertainer. He also added that the film will be a commercial film which will satisfy people of all ages.
It is rumoured that Keerthy Suresh is said to be in talks to play the female lead in Murugadoss’s flick. She was also seen in the director’s last film Sarkar with Vijay.
