Is Vijay Deverakonda's Movie The One Rejected by Ram Charan?

Vijay Deverakonda is an actor that managed to create a massive fan base for himself within a very short period of time. With Arjun Reddy, he created huge waves in the entire country, with people from other states crushing on him as well. He tried his luck at pan-Indian stardom last year, with Liger, directed by Puri Jagannath. The movie marked Vijay's first pan-Indian movie, and while there were good expectations on the movie, it turned out to be a huge disaster upon release.

Vijay is currently busy with Kushi, directed by Siva Nirvana. The film completed one schedule of shooting, and while the second schedule was supposed to commence a long time ago, it got delayed due to the unavailability of Samantha. Samantha is the leading lady of the film. She has been absent from sets ever since she got diagnosed with Myositis. As of now, there's no clarity over when the shooting of Kushi would be resumed. On the other hand, it was recently announced that Vijay would be teaming up with director Gautam Tinnanuri next. Gautam gained a good name, and scored a very good success with Jersey, which went on to win a national award. He even remade the film in Hindi with Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. Gautam narrated a script to Ram Charan a while ago, and the film was almost confirmed. However, the film never got official, and Charan and Gautam moved on. It is now being said that the film that Ram Charan had rejected is the one that Vijay said yes to. Vijay will be seen as a police officer in the movie.
