It’s up to NTR and Niharika to set things now!
Don’t get surprised if we say, Chikati Gadilo Chithakotudu, 118 and Puli Joodham are the only three Telugu films running in urban theatres right now. Why not? Telugu Cinema is now having a huge deficit in the theatres and there is an immediate need to fulfill this void space right now.
To complete that task to films have already geared up for release on 29th. They are none other than ever controversial Ram Gopal Varma’s Lakshmi’s NTR and Mega Daughter Niharka’s "SuryaKantham". After F2 clicked in January, we have the likes of Mr. Majnu, Yatra, NTR Biopics, 118, Where Is Venkatalakshmi and many other films hitting cinemas but none of them clicked well.
For Lakshmi’s NTR, Ram Gopal Varma has produced enough hype to gain the political mileage greatly in AP and Telangana. As the big house UV creations releasing this movie with massive theatre allocation, surely the late Nandamuri Hero should revive box office.
In the same way, Konidela Niharika who is starving for her first ever hit at the Box-office going to test his luck on Friday. As there is no competition, this rom-com is likely to get good reception in case if reports from the initial show are positive. Let’s see whether these two films will set things good with no barriers ahead.
