Jaanu is one of the upcoming Telugu films that releases this Friday. Samantha and Sharwanand reprised the roles of Trisha and Vijay Setupathi from the original, 96 that came in Tamil. Prem Kumar is the director of the movie who did it in both Tamil and Telugu. Dil Raju produced the Telugu version of the film.
Samantha is extremely happy about working in the film. The actress revealed the same and shared her excitement last night, during her speech at the pre-release event of the film.
"The power of dialogues & power of love in each scene is so strong that, I literally cried shooting for the emotional scenes in the movie Jaanu. My first step into TFI was by Sri Venkateswara Creations. Thank you, Dil Raju, for convincing me to do this film and making Jaanu among the top 3 films of my career. It's been over a decade and I didn't get to work with Sharwanand, it was because for Jaanu. I feel we destined to do this film. Making this film with him was a blessing." shared Samantha about working with Sharwanand on this beautiful movie.
On the other side, Samantha planned a bilingual with a Tamil director and it starts soon.
