Jawan received a tonne of support when it was initially announced, especially given that it is the first time Shah Rukh Khan and popular director Atlee have worked together. Along with Vijay Sethupathi playing the antagonist, the movie also stars Nayanthara, the superstar in her native South. However, because of its narrative, the movie has since been accused of plagiarism. Manickam Narayan, a director from the south, has complained about it to the TFPC (Tamil Film Producers Council), claiming that the plot of the movie is based on that of the 2006 film Perarasu.
According to a Times of India article from last week, producer Manikam Narayanan reportedly complained to the TFPC, alleging that the plots of Jawan and Perarasu are identical. Although the director asserts that he purportedly owns the rights to the story, the TFPC has agreed to conduct an investigation but won't start until after November 7, according to the sources.
Regarding Perarasu, a 2006 action-crime movie starring Vijayakanth in two roles, was about a CBI agent who is given the task of looking into the case of a judge who mysteriously vanished. Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly going to play two characters in the movie, although the Jawan makers haven't said anything yet.
A big-budget production is anticipated for Jawan. The movie will be filmed in a variety of Indian cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, and Chennai. In addition to Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, the movie also stars several other famous people from the South and Bollywood, such as Priyamani, Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover, and Sanya Malhotra. Shah Rukh Khan's action-packed persona has been teased before, but the movie is still in the production phase.
