Jersey Movie Live Updates Premiere Show Review - Jersey FDFS Updates

With a successful pre-release event and superb trailer, the ‘Jersey’ team is in full josh for the release of the film. With the series of films like ‘Krishnarjuna Yudham’ and ‘Devadas’ which didn’t fetch well at the box-office, the Natural Star is banking on this periodic sports drama directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri.

Jersey Movie FDFS live updates:

*Nani’s Jersey opens straight into his life 1986 & 1996 in linear. Followed by Shraddha Sreenath & Sathya Raj in key roles.

*Nani’s name is Arjun and his son's name is Nani, swapping his real-life father duo names.

*First few scenes show his love and affection towards his son, his struggle to gift his son a ‘Jersey’

*Nani looks matured, melancholic and fits the role aptly. He plays a struggling suspended employee looking for the moment to bring his life back to form.

*Cuts to flashback, he is entirely different- hot-headed fully in love romantic cricketer. Anirudh gave a super number Kanulaki.

*Shraddha looks refreshing and we know for a fact that she can act. Independent girl who is head over heels in love with Arjun loves him for what he is unabashed.

*Comedy track is decent in the first half - nothing over the top, simple laughs here and there. Comedian Praveen is his usual best.

*No complex or grippy scenes, first half so far is just going on like middle overs in a match. Anirudh’s music is pleasant, the movie has a good feel but it is at a slow pace.

*Arjun goes back to pitch due to some circumstances for a match with New Zealand. Anirudh music has elevated the good old days of simple cricket viewing. Nani looks convincing.

*For some reason Arjun has given up on cricket and also on life. Troubles stir up in his marriage, pitiful saga of a loser father, it is sentimental and makes your eyes moist.

*Nani aka Arjun is back on the pitch after a decade sabbatical. The second half is about healings, beginnings, endings, and thrills.

*Hat tip to the director for gathering details for the 90’s period. Everything looks so meticulous and closer to reality, convincingly looks like the ’90s.

*Nani gives out his best performance so far. He looks nothing familiar; especially in a scene in the Railway station, he gives a power packed performance.

*Anirudh overtakes second half with his sixer shot kind of music and Bgm. Nani is fantastic too. Sathya Raj, Sampath Raj has important roles to play.

*There is a tremendous feeling to the chemistry between husband and wife, father and son, mentor and mentee - director did a fabulous job in retaining the freshness in a familiar concept, he has already proved that with Malli Raava. He will be appreciated for the same in Jersey as well.

*No glitz and glamor, a genuine pure film on ups and downs. A full-fledged match with full paced commentary is executed well on screen. Brings all the good memories of sane cricket back to life. That is a sixer out of the park!

*Jersey is a dramatic powerhouse driven by characters etched deeper than the storyline. The movie ends with a twist, a big revelation in Arjun’s life. It’s a moving tale of taking risks and facing the consequences that life throws at us.

*Overall a good watch and by far Nani’s best performance.
