The 92nd Academy Awards got concluded just a while ago in Los Angels, California. A wide range of films contended for these awards in various categories to prove to be the best in their work. One of the major categories of the Oscars is the Best Actor.
For this year, Joaquin Pheonix bagged the Best Actor Award for his impeccable performance in the film Joker. This is Joaquin's fourth Oscar nomination and the first win. No one can forget Pheonix's act as Joker as he put all his heart and soul it. Instead of hating Joker, people started to empathize with him after watching this film. Such powerful was the performance of Joaquin in this movie.
After receiving the award, Joaquin gave a powerful acceptance speech on racism, animal protection and his self-growth as a human being over the years. He said that he doesn't feel elevated above any of his fellow nominees as each one of them shares an equal amount of love and passion towards cinema. He also urged people to become the voice for the voiceless creatures. Joaquin confessed that he used to be a selfish and cruel human being in the past. He thanked everyone who gave him a second chance in his life.
Joaquin also won other major awards like Golden Globes, SAG and Bafta for his performance as Joker.
