Joji on Amazon Prime: Fahad Faasil's Macbeth inspired flick to premiere on April 7th

Joji on Amazon Prime: Fahad Faasil's Macbeth inspired flick to premiere on April 7th

Amazon Prime Video announced the premiere date for Fahadh Faasil's upcoming crime drama Joji. Joni will have a digital release on the platform on April 7th. The film inspired by Shakespeare's Macbeth, stars Baburaj, Shammi Thilakan, Alistair Alex and Unnimaya Prasad in pivotal roles.

Joji follows the life of an engineering dropout who happens to be the youngest son of a rich plantation owner. Joji wishes to make it big as a wealthy NRI. To his dismay, his father constantly puts him down and views him as a loser. Driven by greed and ambition, Joji devises a plan that he wishes to execute following an unexpected event in the family.
Amazon Prime Video shared a short teaser for Joji. The teaser shows Fahad Faasil's character trying to catch a fish in a well. A passerby asks him hasn't it been a couple of days? Any luck with catching the fishes? To which Fahad Faasil's character replies he's just trying.
Joji marks the third collaboration between Faasil and director Dileesh Pothan. They've previously worked on Maheshinte Prathikaaramand "Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum".
Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil's Irul hits the theatres on April 2nd. Directed by Naseef Yusuf Izuddin, the film also stars Soubin Shahir and Darshana Rajendran. Faasil recently made headlines when he joined the cast of Allu Arjun's Pushpa as the antagonist.
