Thala Ajith had a spectacular 2019 as he scored an industry hit in the form of Vishwasam and later, came up with a hard-hitting social drama Nerkonda Parvaai. Everyone appreciated Ajith's efforts of acting in an offbeat film which has no commercial elements in it. His stardom made the film a super-hit at the box office.
He is currently shooting for the film Valimai, under the direction of H. Vinoth. It is being produced by Boney Kapoor. The trio had earlier worked together for Nerkonda Parvaai as well. The makers have already completed a major schedule of Valimai recently in Hyderabad and are currently shooting a new schedule in Chennai.
Till now, the team didn't open up on the female lead of the movie. Many names like Yami Gautham, Ileana, and Keerthy Suresh came out but none of them got confirmed. Finally, we hear that the makers have fixed Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi as the female lead in this movie. Huma has earlier acted in the Tamil film Kaala, which had Rajinikanth in the lead role. Valimai will be her second film in Kollywood. An official announcement about her inclusion will be out soon. Valimai will release during the Diwali season this year.
