Kalaimamani Awards were out after 8 Long Years!
After a long wait of 8 years, TamilNadu Government recently announced the prestigious Kalaimamani awards and will be presented to 201 artistes from the years 2011-18 for their contribution to the field of art and literature. All the winners will receive the awards from Chief Minister K.Palaniswami at an official function to be announced later.
An official statement said, “Each winning artist will receive a 3 sovereign gold shield and a certificate.” While the winners include some of the biggest names from Carnatic music, folk art, Traditional dance performances, theatre, Tamil Literature and some of the noted film personalities who won the honors.
