'Kalank' was really a bad film: Varun Dhawan
Bollywood’s young hero Varun Dhawan said that his latest film, 'Kalank' has let down people and the audience didn’t watch the movie as it was a bad one.
Varun Dhawan said, "It (Kalank) was not accepted by the audience because it was a bad film and somewhere we all failed collectively." Asserting it was wrong to blame just the director and producer of the film, Varun added, "Being a part of the team, I will take part of the blame as well."
Apparently, this movie is star-studded with some big names like Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt. This movie was released earlier this year with a budget of 150 crores under the direction of Abhishek Verman.
Varun said that he was first a movie lover and then an actor. He clarified that entertaining the audience comes first for him before anything and stated that this kind of films will give a lot of learning and even he wanted it to affect him as it let many people down.
But Varun has no time to linger in the past. He is looking forward to diverse films lined up for release in the coming year, including Street Dancer 3D and the remake of his father’s hit 1995 comedy, Coolie No 1. Interestingly, right from the beginning, the actor has made sure that his career is a mixed bag of genres.
