Kalyan Ram is the son of Hari Krishna and grandson of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. He started his career as a child artist with the 1989 film Bala Gopaludu. After that, he made his debut as a hero with the 2003 movie Toli Choopulone. Directed by Kasi Vishwanath, this film failed to perform well at the box office. Kalyan Ram scored his first success with the 2005 movie Abhimanyu. This Surender Reddy directorial became a huge blockbuster at the box office. Later, Kalyan Ram went on to act in notable films like Lakshmi Kalyanam, Hare Ram, Jayeebhava, and OM 3D.
