Kamal Haasan and Shankar's Indian/Bharateeyudu completes 24 years of the release; Fans expect an update on Indian 2

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and director Shankar teamed up for an interesting project titled Indian. The film released today 24 years ago. Indian became a big blockbuster at the box-office, and it also released in Telugu. Titled Bharateeyudu, the film became a big hit in Telugu as well. Interestingly, a sequel production is currently underway. But, surprisingly, there is no clarity on the film's release. By this time, the film's shoot is supposed to get completed but the makers are still struggling to finish the shoot. On the occasion of the movie completing 24 years, the fans are expecting an update from Kamal regarding Indian 2.

The film focuses on an ex-freedom fighter trying to put an end to corruption after undergoing a personal loss. The old man does not hesitate even to kill his own son who is a corrupt person in the system. Kamal played both roles in the film. The movie got a lot of awards from the Tamil Nadu government and it is also the entry for the Best Foreign Language Film from India. Indian stars Kamal Haasan in dual roles with Manisha Koirala, Nedumudi Venu, Urmila Matondkar, Sukanya, Goundamani, and Senthil appearing in other pivotal roles. AR Rahman scored the music for the movie. Jeeva is the cinematographer. Written and directed by Shankar, AM Ratnam produced the movie. The fans are hoping to receive an update on the movie today.
