Director Rathnakumar’s Aadai starring Amala Paul is a bold attempt in the history of Tamil cinema. The film addressed several topical issues ranging from social media addiction to body shaming to prank shows and the lack of empathy among human beings.
The film based on the life of a free-spirited girl named Kamini who wakes up completely naked after a mad party. She gets the shock of her life and the ordeal teaches her an important lesson in her life.
There have been rumors about the film getting remade in Hindi. Director Rathnakumar has confirmed that the film’s remake rights have purchased by Mukesh Bhatt and the Hindi remake is in the works. He also added that he is not yet approached to do the remake.
Also, word has it that Kangana Ranaut roped in to do the remake. However, the actress will be busy shooting for Thalaivi, the biopic on the life of late CM J Jayalalithaa. Rathnakumar revealed that the casting is not finalized and that they might approach other heroines as well.
