Kannada actor Darshan was last seen in the family entertainer, Robert. The film was released in theatres and received a lot of love and appreciation from fans and critics alike. Since Robert's release, Darshan's fans have been waiting with bated breath to see him in his upcoming film. The film's announcement was made on Vinayaka Chavitha alias Ganesha Habba. Directed by V Harikrishna, the film features Darshan and Rachita Ram in lead roles. Darshan revealed that he is thrilled to be back on the film sets for the shooting of Kranti.
In an interview with an entertainment portal, Darshan said, "Shooting for films, being on the film sets, and working for back-to-back projects was a routine in my life, which I did till my 53rd film, Robert. But I was cut off from this routine and filming process due to the pandemic. As an actor, this was the longest break of my career. So I had butterflies in my stomach when I was attending the muhurath of Kranti, and it was such a thrilling moment to hear ‘action’ and to see the director take the first shot. While I make sure to fulfill the audience’s wish to see me portraying different characters, I also make sure the subject we present is underlined with strong morals. And with Kranti, we will entertain as well as educate"
