Kannada cinema is slowly embracing the new wave films over the past few years. Movies like Lucia, Ulidavaru Kandante, Kirrik Party, KGF and Avane Srimannarayana explains the experimentation that is going on in the industry. Filmmakers are trying to juggle between various genres and are providing new experiences to the regional audiences.
Two of the flag-bearers of new wave Kannada cinema are Raj B Shetty and Rishab Shetty. They are good friends and frequent collaborators as well. Raj has directed the critically acclaimed film Ondu Motteya Kathe. On the other side, Rishab has directed the blockbuster Kirrrik Party and a couple of other films as well. Both of them are writers and actors as well. Now, they have teamed up for another interesting project.
This film got titled Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana, which is being directed by Raj B Shetty. This is Raj's second directorial. Raj and Rishab are playing the lead roles in this movie. The first look poster of this film was out yesterday. Going by the poster, it seems like the duo is coming up with another intriguing concept. Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana will hit the screens in June this year. More details on it will get announced eventually.
