Kantara Eyes Oscars Nominations

Following RRR, Kantara is eyeing nominations for the most prestigious prize, the Academy Awards. Kantara, starring Rishab Shetty, broke box office records in India in 2022. The movie is aiming for the Oscars in 2023. The film wowed viewers everywhere with its compelling plot and top-notch performances. The producer of Kantara has stated that they have submitted the movie for nominations.

Kantara, a film by Rishab Shetty, has filed nominees for the 2023 Oscars. Kantara's producer, Vijay Kirgandur, verified this in an interview and expressed optimism. The producer said, "We have submitted our application for the Oscars for Kantara. We have our fingers crossed as the final nominations are yet to come." He said that because Kantara is such a deeply ingrained tale, we think it can also find a voice on a global scale.

The makers of RRR took a chance by joining the 'For Your Consideration' campaign for Academy Award nominations. The film is the crowning achievement of SS Rajamouli. RRR is the first Indian film from 2022. The hit film has been nominated for awards in 14 categories. The nominations include Best Motion Picture, Best Director (SS Rajamouli), Best Actor in a Lead Role (Ram Charan and Jr. NTR), and others.

Kantara has gained popularity in the South Asian cinema industry. Rishab Shetty directed the film. It has entered the A-league club with Baahubali, KGF, RRR, and Pushpa. Its popularity has spread widely and is being praised by critics, celebrities, and the audience. Besides directing the movie, Rishab Shetty also had two roles. Hombale Films, known for producing the KGF, are the financiers.

A little settlement in the Kaadubettu forests in the southern coastal state of Karnataka serves as the setting for the story of Kantara. The film revolves around Shiva, a rebel who defends his community and nature. The film weaves an intriguing tale about a fight between humans and nature. In the film, a death causes a war between the villagers and evil forces.

The movie is only the second Kannada movie to surpass the 400-crore collection worldwide. And that isn't the only achievement it has to offer. The movie surpassed all previous records for weekend box office revenue in Karnataka.
