'Kantara' Telugu Version Mints 10 Crores In Just 2 Days

The Kannada cinema industry is in peak form right now, with multiple superhit films arriving back to back this year. They had 'KGF: Chapter 2' and then 'Vikrant Rona,' 'James,' '777 Charlie,' and now 'Kantara,' all of which made a lot of money at the Tollywood box office.
'Kantara' (The Mystical Forest) is a Kannada action thriller film released in 2022. Rishab Shetty wrote, directed, and acted in the film, funded by Hombale Films' Vijay Kiragandur, who also funded 'KGF: Chapter 2'. The film was released on September 30th in Kannada and October 14th in Telugu, and it is claimed to be doing well at the Tollywood box office.
The film is said to have grossed over Rs 10 crores in Telugu and Rs 100 crores in all other language versions. Allu Aravind's 'Geetha Arts,' which has garnered traction in Telugu areas, distributed the film in Telugu.
Despite parallels to Sukumar's film 'Rangasthalam,' the film has been praised for its acting, background score, and action sequences. The film, which is about rural gods and their belief systems, as well as their fight for land and forest resources, is attracting large crowds in Andhra due to positive word of mouth.
