Karan Johar may cast Ranveer, Janhvi and Alia in 'Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai' remake
Although Karan Johar has repeatedly wiped that he has no plans to rewrite the 1998 film, he disclosed the names of the actors that he could have cast if Kuch Kuch Hota Hai would now rewrite. Karan Johar's movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai successfully completed last year's 20-year release.
The Indian Film Festival in Melbourne this year screened the Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer hit to honour the composer and recognize his task over twenty years. Karan even clarified why he believed the characters of Shah Rukh, Kajol and Rani would fit Ranveer, Alia and Janhvi.
Johar answered during the conversation with the audience that Ranveer Singh as Rahul would be on his wishlist. As Shah Rukh Khan, he has that crazy intensity. Like Anjali, Alia Bhatt. She has the guts and Janhvi Kapoor as Tina because she has the part's agility and equilibrium.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Rahul (SRK), Anjali (Kajol), and Tina (Rani Mukerji)'s three main characters are also famous today as they were twenty years ago. In the days Karan even chronicled the story of throwing back the initial film.
As Tabu, Urmila and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turned him down, casting for Tina's part was the most challenging. Karan disclosed that the name of Rani was indicated for the part by Aditya Chopra.
Curiously, the next movie by Karan Johar, Takht, together with the three actors Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor and others.
