Kardashian update: Here’s Why Kim slapped Kourtney

It’s hard to keep up with the Kardashians. Drama and scandals are always brewing in the Kardashian family. Things reached a fever pitch, however, with the release of episode 1 of Season 18 of their show. Keeping Up With the Kardashians is running on E! Channel for a whopping 18 years in a row. The Kardashian family, headed by the momager Kris Jenner, came under the public limelight with the popularity of the reality show. Things are always rocky between the five sisters. However, from what we know from yesterday’s episode, things might be more serious than usual.

Season 17 closed on an uncertain note, with Kourtney expressing her wish to quit the long-running show. She claims that she wants to focus more on her responsibilities as a mom, as well as focus on POOSH. The project is Kourtney’s maiden wellness and lifestyle website, launched in 2019. Kim and Khloe raised an allegation that Kourtney didn't contribute equally to the shooting and production of the family show. Clearly, discontentment and snide remarks about the issue haven’t yet died down amongst the three.

In episode 1 of KUWTK, the tension reached a peak when Kendall, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney got together in the living room. They discussed Kylie being unable to attend a fashion show in Paris. The youngest member of the Kardashian-Jenner family couldn’t walk the ramp at the Balmain show, hosted by Olivier Rousteing. She was too sick to travel and could barely walk to her bed, let alone a hot couture ramp. Kim remarks that if she were in Kylie’s place, she would not back down from a work commitment, regardless of her health. She implies that Kourtney lacks her work ethic, sparking a major fight between the two. The sisters, 39 and 40, resorted to punching and kicking to tackle their dispute. They started smacking each other across the face, resulting in Kourtney storming out of the room, visibly upset.

The drama didn’t stop there. When a fan commented on the drama on Twitter and claimed that Kourtney should quit the show, she replied in a tweet: “I did. Bye”. E! Entertainment and production team are yet to officially confirm whether or not Kourtney actually quit the flagship show. We might have to keep up with the Kardashians for one more episode to get to the bottom of this drama.
