Karisma Kapoor's Daughter Samaira has taken to acting in a short film

Karisma Kapoor's Daughter Samaira has managed to stay out of the limelight. Though now we get to see her in a short film titled Daud. In addition to that, the person who wrote and directed is no other than Chunky Panday's younger daughter and actor Ananya Panday's sister, Rysa Panday. Samaira seems to be living up to her mother's potential. Daud is seven and a half minutes long.

It follows the story of an ordinary girl from Mumbai slums who dreams to be an athlete. Though her social standing proves to be a hindrance. It also stars Sanjay Kapoor's younger son, Jahaan Kapoor, along with Samaira and Dhaniti Parekh. Seems like all the star kids are bonding and hanging out together! Jahaan Kapoor and Dhaniti Parekh play the characters who help Samaira's character out. They buy her shoes and encourage her out of her circumstances.

Before this, Samaira has also directed and acted in a film herself. The title is 'Be Happy at the age of 10'. It got screened at the International Children's Film Festival of India in the 'Little Directors' category in 2015.

The producer of Daud is Chunky Panday. It is Rysa's debut short film. Also, cousin Ahaan Panday was part of the direction team. Meanwhile, Karisma Kapoor is returning to the big screen through the show Mentalhood by Alt Balaji. The show follows Karisma as a former beauty pageant winner who is now a mother of three schoolgoing children. The show by the looks of it seems to explore the struggles of domesticity and motherhood in India. It stars Dino Morea, Shruti Seth, Sandhya Mridul, Sanjay Suri, Shilpa Shukla, and Tillotama Shome.
