Karthi Gets Appreciation From Superstar Rajinikanth And Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan

Karthi essayed the role of Vallavarayan Vanthiyathevan in director Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. The film's first part hit the theatres on September 30. The film has been receiving positive responses from critics and the audience alike. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Jayam Ravi, and Karthi play lead roles. Karthi received appreciation from Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan for his performance as Vanthiyathevan. Kamal Haasan watched Ponniyin Selvan at Jazz Cinemas in Chennai.

Thanking Kamal Haasan, Karthi wrote, "Kamal sir you have always inspired us to seek bigger goals and set higher standards in cinema but more importantly you have taught us to love and respect one another and how to express that in these moments. Lost of love and respect." Karthi also revealed that he received a call from Superstar Rajinikanth. He wrote, "Rajini sir, a call from you is extremely special.
