Kartik Aaryan is promoting his forthcoming comedy Shehzada, and he expressed his concerns regarding the slapping scene during the trailer premiere ceremony. The film's teaser, which includes a sequence in which Kartik slapped senior actor Paresh Rawal, dropped on Thursday. Kartik expressed his concerns regarding the slapping scene. Paresh, on the other hand, advised him to go for it.
Rohit Dhawan directs Shehzada. It is an official Hindi version of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramloo, starring Allu Arjun. Shehzada is set to hit theatres on February 10, 2023. It also stars Kriti Sanon, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar in addition to Kartik and Paresh Rawal.
Talking about the slapping scene during the event, Kartik said, "Even I was apprehensive. It’s thanks to Paresh ji that the scene got alleviated. I was confused about how to perform. We don’t slap actually and it’s shot in a particular manner that makes you believe that I have slapped him. Lekin galti se kabhi bhi lag sakta hai. But there needs to be that trust between co-stars. Aur yeh ek timing ka Khel hai. And he’s the king of such comic timing.”
Karthik added that the senior actor told him “Tu tension mat Lena. Kheench ke maarna. Film ke mood mein Jaana (You don't worry, but hit me hard and be in the zone of the film).” Paresh Rawal plays the role of Kartik's onscreen father in the film.
When it comes to family, the Shehzada trailer begins with Kartik talking about doing the action rather than just talking about it. He beats up bad guys in various locales, including beside a basketball court, a port, and a factory. Kartik's other, less-macho side emerges next when all he does is eat food, in contrast to his demeanor. When his 'baba (father),' Paresh Rawal, asks Kartik if he wants to be a lawyer or a bouncer, he says, "Dono (both)." Kartik aspires to live his 'Shehzada (prince)' life after discovering his real father, Randeep, who is wealthy and powerful.
