The second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic forced another lockdown which made many suffer without daily wages. From battling the virus on one side to make ends meet, many people are going through great struggle. Stars in Kollywood came forward to donate money to film associations to help the workers. This time, Kannada actor Yash has donated Rs 1.5 crore to the cine workers. The money will be split in such a way that Rs 5,000 will be credited to almost 3000 workers to help them buy their basic essentials.
Announcing the same, Yash wrote, "The Covid 19 has proved to be an invisible enemy that has dismantled the livelihoods of innumerable people across our country. My own Kannada Film fraternity has been badly affected as well. In light of the grave times we five in, To each of the 3,000 odd members which includes all the 21 departments of our film fraternity. I will be donating from my earnings, a sum of Rs 5,000 to their personal accounts." His fans welcomed the move and appreciated Yash for his timely help. On the work front, Yash is waiting for the release of his upcoming film, KGF: Chapter 2.
