Krishna Vamsi is one of the celebrated actors in Telugu cinema. Gulabi, Ninne Pelladata, Khadgam, and Murari are some of the hit films he directed. Now, he's staging a comeback with Ranga Marthanda. The film is the remake of Marathi's film, Natsamrat. Speaking to the Times of India, Krishna Vamsi said, "It wasn’t planned. This is my second remake after Chandralekha, which was based on a Malayalam film of the same name. Prakash Raj bought the rights for the Marathi film Natsamrat, which is adapted from a stage play of the same name by Jnanpith Award recipient Kusumagraj. He thought he couldn’t do justice if he directed it himself. He asked me to help him out. I took the nucleus of the original but rewrote the screenplay. So it’s as good as new."
