Once Diwali season gets over, stars go back to the grind. Kriti Sanon, whose Housefull 4 is currently running in theatres, has opened up about her next project. In an interview with Mimi, Kriti Sanon revealed her next movie’s title: Mimi. Speaking about the project with BT she said, “I am really excited to team up with Luka Chuppi director Laxman Utekar, who is helming the project.” The film bases on the National Award-winning Marathi original Mala Aai Vhhaychy. The concept is the same: the growing practice of surrogacy in India. Kriti continued her statement: “It’s a story about a young girl with big dreams and how things change when she turns into a surrogate. They say that one can understand the emotions of a mother only when you become one. Through this film, I will get to experience it right now.”
For the project, Kriti will be working with Pankaj Tripathi, together the duo had worked in Luka Chuppi and Bareilly Ki Barfi. However, there is no official confirmation on the film release date.
