Many of the Tamil film audiences remember the actress Lakshmi Menon. Even though she had a career of fewer than five years, Lakshmi managed to act in many critically acclaimed roles in the movies like Kumki, Sudarapandian, Kutti Puli, Pandianaadu, Jigarthanda, Vedhalam, and Miruthan. Lakshmi was last seen in the 2016 film Rekka. We now hear that, after a gap of four years, she is all set to make her acting comeback in Tamil cinema.
According to the sources, Lakshmi Menon will be acting as the female lead in an upcoming film which will get directed by Muthaiah. Gautham Karthik will play the lead hero role in this movie. Lakshmi Menon has previously worked with Muthaiah for the film Kutti Puli. On the flip side, Gautham Karthik and Muthaiah have worked together on the 2019 Devarattam. The sources claimed that the shoot of this film will commence very soon. An official announcement regarding the project will also be out soon.
Lakshmi Menon made her debut with a supporting role in the 2011 Malayalam film Raghuvinte Swantham Raziya. After that, she acted in another Malayalam film called Ideal Couple. It was the 2012 film Sundara Pandian which introduced Lakshmi Menon as the female lead. She also won Tamil Nadu State Award for the Best Actress and Filmfare Award for the Best Actress, for this film. Lakshmi acted alongside star heroes like Vishal, Ajith and Jayam Ravi in films like Pandianaadu, Vedhalam, and Miruthan. She is eyeing to make a grand comeback with this new project.
