Madhuri Dixit, the actress, will appear as a guest on Indian Idol 13 and perform some of her songs. Sony Entertainment TV shared various clips of the actor from the singing reality competition on Instagram. On Indian Idol 13, Madhuri wore a yellow and white lehenga for the occasion. The show's judges are Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani.
Madhuri discussed her hook step in the song Tu Shayar Hai Main Teri Shayari from Saajan in one of the videos (1991). "Chinni Prakash said to me, 'For this, Tu Shayar Hai, I will give you an unbelievable movement (twines fingers)," Madhuri said.
She went on to say, "When he showed me this, I said, 'Yeh kya movement huya? Yeh kaunsa shayar hai? Yeh kaesa shayar hota hai (What is this movement? Who is this poet? What kind of a poet is he)?'". Madhuri then stated that Chinni guaranteed her that it will become a famous step, to which she added, 'it did'.
Madhuri has danced and performed to songs such as Ek Do Teen (Tezaab), Yeh Mausam Ka Jadu (Hum Aapke Hain Koun), and Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai (Khal Nayak). She also performed Dhak Dhak Karne Laga (Beta), Bahut Pyaar Karte Hai, and Dekha Hai Pehli Baar (Saajan). She also performed her part in the song Kaahe Chhed (Devdas).
Madhuri also performed and discussed Himesh's song Jhalak Dikhla Ja (Aksar). She stated, "When my son was three years old, your song Jhalak Dikhla Jaa was released. He loved the song so much that every time I sat inside the car, he would say, 'Mamma, Aaja Aaja'. I've heard the song many times." Himesh afterward sang the song for Madhuri, who smiled. Aditya Narayan hosts the current season of Indian Idol.
