Mahesh Babu’s next Maharshi, directed by Vamsi Paidipally, is progressing fast and will be wrapped soon. Earlier, the plan was to release the film in the first week of April this year but due to delay in shoots the release date was shifted. Dil Raju, who is riding high with the success of "F2: Fun and Frustration" has now announced "Maharshi" release date.
After paying a visit to Lord Balaji at Tirumala, Dil Raju who was looking revealed and super happy he has announced that his next release is going to be Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi. He said that the film is slated for an April 25th release. we hear that the makers have pushed the film to the last week of April citing a sentiment that some of Mahesh Babu's biggest hits such as Pokiri and Bharat Ane Nenu became hits after getting released during that period.
With Maharshi getting postponed it is giving a clear deck for other films which are planning to get released in Summer. We have Sai Dharam Tej’s Chithralahari which releasing on April 12th. Also, we have Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s Film Majili which will be released on April 5th. On April 18th we have Lawrence most successful Kanchana franchise film, Kanchana 3 hitting cinemas and then Nani's Jersey will be released on 19th. Seems like Dil Raju blocked the following week. With all planning and execution, Mahesh Babu fans are now expecting a Pokiri and Bharat Anu Nenu like success to be repeated in April 2019. Maharshi is bankrolled jointly by Dil Raju, Ashwini Dutt, and PVP. It is a high budget project with a major portion of it being shot in the USA. The film is about three friends, played by Mahesh Babu, Allari Naresh, and Pooja Hegde. It also has veteran actor Jayapradha playing a pivotal role.
