Mahesh Babu's Nijam under Teja's direction completes 17 years of release; Do you like the film

Superstar Mahesh Babu scored so many hit movies in his career but only a few unleashed the acting side of the actor. Nijam is one film that falls in this category. The film helped him reveal himself during the beginning days of his career. Teja directed the film. The movie also features Rakshita, Gopichand, and Raasi in the lead roles. Gopichand and Raasi got a very good name in the film. Ranganath and Talluri Rameshwari played key roles. Mahesh Babu and Rameshwari won the Nandi Awards in Best Actor and Best Supporting Actress categories respectively for their performances in the film. The film completes 17 years today.

According to the film's story, A son (Seetha Ram) loses his father when the latter is falsely charged of murder and killed by conspirators. Later, his mother guides him in a methodical manner to avenge his father against the perpetrators. It's a clear revenge drama but narrated so well. Nijam got remade in Odia as Arjuna with Anubhav Mohanty as the lead. The film also got remade in Bengali Bangladesh with Shakib Khan playing the lead.
