Makers of 'Majili' cut a whopping deal on satellite rights
Releasing as the first film post their marriage, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are all set for their film ‘Majili’. The film unit has recently wrapped the shooting and has announced the release dates also.
The Shiva Nirvana’s directorial has hit the headlines even before its theatrical release as the makers have cut a good deal with the satellite, digital and Hindi dubbing rights. Four weeks before the release, the satellite rights for sold to Gemini TV for Rs 5 crore and Amazon Prime Video grabbed the digital rights for Rs 3.5 crore. Including the Hindi dubbing rights, the total went up to Rs.12.5 crore, which made a reasonably good amount in the prevailing market.
Chai and Sam were shown as a middle-class couple stuck between professional and personal life. Music from Gopi Sundar has already impressed the audience. Bankrolled by Shine Screens banner, 'Majili' is all set to hit the screens on April 5th.
