Makers of Nishabdham are not interested to opt for a digital release

From the last few days, the OTT wave is heating up the Indian film industry. Amazon Prime Video made a shocking announcement by revealing that seven Indian films are going to have a direct digital release on its platform. This raised the speculations of other major films opting for digital release. It was also reported that Anushka's upcoming movie Nishabdham will have an OTT release. But we now hear that the makers are in no mood to release the film directly on the internet.

Nishabdham got made on a high budget. It includes a huge star cast and was mostly shot in the US. More importantly, we hear that the makers want the audience to have a theatrical experience of the film rather than the home-viewing experience. Thus, they are in no mood to release the film online. A few days back, it got reported that Amazon Prime Video offered Rs. 26 crores for all language rights of Nishabdham. But the producers are adamant on the theatrical release.

Touted to be a suspense thriller, Nishabdham is being directed by Hemant Madhukar. Anushka played the role of a mute artist in this movie. Madhavan played the other lead role in it. Prominent actors like Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju and Srinivas Avasarala essayed the other pivotal roles in it. Gopi Sundar has composed the music of this film.
