Makers Release Devdatta Nage’s First Look As Hanuman From Adipurush

The makers of the upcoming movie Adipurush have revealed the first look of actor Devdatta Nage as Hanuman on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The poster showcases Devdatta Nage in a meditative pose. This comes after the recent unveiling of the poster featuring the lead actors Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Sunny Singh on Ram Navami. Directed by Om Raut, the movie celebrates the triumph of good over evil. It is a screen adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana. In addition to Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Devdatta Nage will also star as Hanuman in the movie.

Devdatta Nage is a renowned Marathi TV actor who is known for playing Lord Khandoba in the Marathi serial Jai Malhar. He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara and was also seen in the 2018 film Satyameva Jayate. Devdatta had previously worked with Om Raut in the blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. In the film, he played the role of Suryaji Malusare.

Adipurush had earlier attracted controversy when many objected to the depiction of Hindu deities and the inferior quality of visual effects in the teaser of the big-budget film. The trailer was launched in October. Despite boycott calls, the film is now slated to release in 3D on June 16, 2023. In response to the controversy, Om Raut defended the film in an interview. He stated that the team has maintained the sanctity of everything. And that they want to introduce the story of Lord Ram to the world and spread his teachings among the youth.
