Mallesham Director’s agreement against sexual harassment is winning hearts
It has been close to a year since the #MeToo wave hit India. Many directors and technicians were named as part of the movement. Even though filmmakers like Sajid Khan and Alok Nath were removed from their respective films, they were reinstated.
However, Mallesham’s director and co-producer Raj Rachakonda has set an example in this front. He has made the entire team and technicians sign an agreement against sexual harassment.
The agreement states that if anyone from the team is found guilty of sexual harassment, they will be kicked out of the sets without any intimation. If the film’s shoot comes to a halt, he/she will have to bear the expenses till then.
This is a welcoming change in the industry and it goes on to say that the team of Mallesham has created a healthy environment for women to work without any inhibitions.
