Actress Prachi Tehlan played a pivotal role in Mammootty's Mamangam. Earlier this April, she tested positive for the novel coronavirus and had a difficult time. She recovered from the deadly disease. In a recent interview with Times of India, Prachi spoke about her symptoms and how she regained her health. She said, "My initial symptoms were headache and fever. And then it worsened and the body temperature skyrocketed to 103 F. The initial 10-12 days were horrible as I had a high fever. Those days, I used to sleep for 18-22 hours. I felt weak and didn’t want to get up from my bed."
Reportedly, Prachi contracted the virus from her parents. She added, "My husband was taking care of me. And I followed the medicines prescribed by my doctor. The fatigue was terrible. I felt that I would probably die because I used to feel weak the moment I tried to get up from the bed. Breathlessness was my biggest concern. Also, you start to panic, when you know that you have contracted the virus. I started losing my sense of taste. Food tasted salty. There were constant weakness and breathing problems. It is a very scary experience. After 14 days, I started feeling better. I started to eat better, in good portions. Followed a healthy diet and things started to improve. I think it took me 2-3 weeks to recover after the fever got down."
