Ace director Mani Ratnam
is currently struggling to resume the shooting of his upcoming multistarrer magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan.' The star director recently opened up about the difficulties he has been facing to resume the shooting. The director wants to take the film back on the sets. The director said that he is going to come up with a movie which is set in the 10th century and obviously there will be so many war sequences with huge crowds.
"In this situation, we don't know when we can resume the shooting with a huge crowd during the pandemic. Luckily, the technology has improved tremendously," said Mani Ratnam. As the theatrical business for upcoming movies has become uncertain, the director requested big stars and technicians to understand the situation and help the industry by reducing the remunerations. Mani Ratnam is seriously looking at the things getting back to normalcy soon.
Ponniyin Selvan which is going to feature star actors like Vikram, Karthi
, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai
, Trisha, and Aishwarya Lekshmi is being produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. AR Rahman is composing tunes for this film.
Also, there is a talk about another film. The buzz is that Mani Ratnam will team up with Aravind Swamy. As of now, there is no clarity on the same.
