Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan takes shape Mani Ratnam’s Chekka Chivantha Vaanam which had a huge star cast went on to perform exceptionally well at the box office. But, the Telugu version titled Nawab failed to take in the moolah. For the past couple of months, there have been rumors that Mani Ratnam will be making a film which will be an adaptation of an iconic Tamil literary novel Ponniyin Selvan. It is said that he has assembled a huge cast for the same. Vikram, Karthi, Keerthi Suresh, Aishwarya Rai, Amitabh Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, and Mohan Babu have been roped in as of now.
